Sean Townsend
2001 Parallel Bars World Champion
Sean was part of the US Men's Gymnastics Team at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. He also competed for the US at the 1999 and 2001 World Championship Team. In 2001, he won a Team Silver and became the Parallel Bars World Champion. He was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2017. Presently, Sean is the Owner and Men's Team Head Coach at Reflex Pearland Gymnastics Academy.
Valeriy Goncharov
2004 Parallel Bars Olympic Champion
Valeriy was a medalist at both the 2004 European Championships and 2005 World Championships. He also was a medalist at the 2006 and 2008 World Cup. Valeriy represented Ukraine in the 2000 Sydney Olympics where his team earned the Silver medal. He also competed in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens where he became the Olympic Champion on the Parallel Bars.
Iryna Goncharov
2004 Olympian--Ukraine
Iryna is a multiple time National Champion for Ukraine as well as a Bronze medalist at the 2002 World Championships on Balance Beam. She also placed 4th in the all-around at the 2003 World Championships and 6th all-around when she competed in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece.
Amanda Stroud
USA Senior National Team Member
Amanda was a member of the US Senior National Team from 1999-2002. She earned a bronze medal in the All-Around at the 2000 US Classic. That same year, she went on to qualify and compete in the Olympic Trials in Boston, MA. After her elite career, Amanda went on to compete NCAA gymnastics for the Florida Gators.
Tricia Lawhon
NCAA All-American
After a successful Junior USAG and High School Gymnastics career in Texas, Tricia moved on to NCAA gymnastics on a full scholarship to the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. While competing she earned accolades that include the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) “Rookie of the Year”, many ECAC Coaches Choice Awards, and became a two time All-American. She qualified to the NCAA Southeast Regional Competition in the All- Around in both 2005 and 2007. Tricia finished off her senior year as the Team Captain and graduated with a Business Administration degree in Finance and a minor in Psychology. Upon graduation she was presented with the President’s award in recognition of Sportsmanship, Citizenship and Leadership. She is married to Brody and mother to two boys.
Emily James
NCAA All-American
Emily is a former elite and collegiate athlete. She graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2009 with a bachelors degree in sociology and a minor in communication. She still holds the title for the most wins at Nebraska of 116 event wins. She is also an 11x All American. After college Emily moved home and coached gymnastics for a few years at GymQuarters her home gym. She eventually took a coaching job in Texas! She has coached many state and regional champions, while also helping girls qualify for nationals. Since moving to Texas she met her now husband Justin and had two boys. She stays home with her two sons so now she does choreography and gymnastics camps.
